North Cascades National Park
Washington, June 2020
“North Cascades National Park Service Complex spans the Cascade Crest from the temperate rainforest of the wet west-side to the dry ponderosa pine ecosystem of the east. The park encompasses landscapes with over 9,000 feet of vertical relief.” – NPS
Trip Highlights: Diablo Lake
This park is our backyard, so to speak 🙂 We technically set foot within the national park boundary on a backpacking trip in the summer of 2019 but took in the more typical sights along Highway 20 on this car camping trip.
